Wrong Way on the Flanders Road Traffic Circle

Riverside (WALK) - Southampton Town police say they were busy over the weekend, keeping drunk drivers off town roads.

They report three drunk driving arrests on Saturday and Sunday. The suspects include a Brentwood man who was allegedly caught driving the wrong way around the Flanders Road traffic circle in the East End community of Riverside. Jose Ramirez-Carbajal, 20, also didn't have a drivers license, police say. He was taken into custody around 1 AM on Sunday morning.

Another DWI arrest took place just a few hours earlier in Hampton Bays. John Alaimo of Hampton Bays was pulled over by police on Montauk Highway Saturday night after he was allegedly spotted driving without headlights. Alaimo, 31, was then charged with drunk driving.

A few hours after that, police stopped Anthony Soccorso of Brookhaven on Dune Road in Hampton Bays after he was allegedly spotted driving erratically. Soccorso, 28, was also charged with DWI.
