Super-Disturbing Case of Animal Cruelty

Shirley - (WALK) The search continues for the alleged-human, or people, responsible for killing a cat, then leaving its body propped up in a shopping cart near William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.

The cat's body was left in a sitting position in the shopping cart, found near a Coastal Gas station on the parkway, south of Montauk Highway, according to Chief Roy Gross of the Suffolk County SPCA.  The cat had blunt force trauma to the side of its head, said Gross.
