Southampton - (WALK) The Suffolk County Department of Health Services is investigating a case of Hepatitus A virus, contracted by an employee at a restaurant in Southampton, and say as many as 7,000 patrons who dined at the Driver's Seat on Jobs Lane between August 16 and August 20 may have been exposed.
Preventive treatment for those who may have been exposed to the virus may stop or lesson the severity of illiness when given withing two weeks of exposure, according to the Suffolk County Department of Health Services.

County officials say free Hepatitus A vaccine or immune globulin will be offered to individuals who patronized the Driver's Seat during the window of exposure at between today and Tuesday September 3.
