Hauppauge (WALK) - They welcomed her into their home to help their children, and she allegedly stole from them.
That's the charge against a Ronkonkoma woman who works as a tutor for special needs students. Police arrested Bonnie Blier yesterday after several of her students' families reported that jewelry went missing in their homes after she visited for tutoring sessions.
Police don't say exactly how many thefts took place but they date back to January 3rd. The victims all live in the Hauppauge area.
Blier, 36 (pictured at left), has been charged with criminal possession of stolen property as well as petit larceny. She is scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
Anyone with information about these thefts is asked to contact Fourth Precinct detectives at (631) 854-8446.
