New Hyde Park (WALK) - A man is in the hospital after Long Island's latest hit-and-run.
Police say the 62-year-old victim had just gotten off a bus around 10 PM Monday and was crossing Hillside Avenue in New Hyde Park when he was struck. The car that hit him was traveling eastbound and never stopped.
According to detectives, the car was a white Toyota Camry. Its model year was 1997 to 1999.
The victim has multiple traumas, police say. His name has not been released publicly by police yet.
