Reward Offered in Video Game Equipment Theft

Central Islip (WALK) - If you recognize the person in the photo above, you might be able to help police solve a shoplifting case.

Detectives say that the young man in the picture stol six PS3 video game controllers from a Target store on North Research Place in Central Islip on May 15th. Security cameras reportedly show him entering the store around 4:30 PM, taking the controllers off the shelf, removing them from their packaging and leaving the store with the merchandise.

Police describe the suspect as approximately 18 to 25 years old, wearing beige shorts and a black shirt with the words “For Today” printed in yellow on the front.

Suffolk Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
