Patchogue - (WALK) PSEG-Long Island, our region's soon-to-be utility managment company, appointed a president and chief operating officer, and more than a dozen directors and managers.

David Daly, a 30-year employee of PSEG, will be responsible for PSEG-Long Island's 12-year, $5.1 billion contract with the Long Island Power Authority when the company takes over LIPA's electrical grid on January 1. Daly was appointed to lead PSEG's two-year transition with LIPA in June of 2012 and named president and chief operating officer of PSEG-LI Friday.

As public face of the new utility, Daly is charged with hold down utility rates while lifting up LIPA's low customer satisfaction ratings.
