Centereach - (WALK) The suspect in a Suffolk steroids distribution scheme is being held on $500,000 cash bond today after entering a not guilty plea Wednesday.
Lucas Strada, 33 (photo), was arrested after police say they found steroids, lab equipment, a loaded handgun and $60,000 at an his apartment on Horseblock Road in Centereach. Suffolk prosecutors say Strada sold steroids locally and online via Paypal.
An attorney for Strada says his client is a Colorado resident, staying on Long Island, and the items seized by police may belong to someone else.
Strada is reportedly regarded as a flight risk and is being held on $500,000 cash bond, according to prosecutors.
