Great Neck - (WALK) The investigation continues into the death of a Brooklyn man whose body was found burned and discarded in a gas station Dumpster Friday.
Menachem "Max" Stark, 39, of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, was kidnapped near his office on Rutledge Street and forced into a white, Chrysler minivan Thursday evening. The scene was recorded on surveillance video, according to police.
A day later, Stark's body was found in a Dumpster behind a Getty gas station on Cutter Mill Road, Great Neck, by the proprietor who told police he smelled a foul odor.
Stark was a married father of 8 children, who 17 owned rental properties throughout Brooklyn. Authorities say Stark may have been carrying a large amount of money Thursday, but police did not offer a motive for his kidnapping, nor offer details about suspects or the cause of his death.
Hundreds of mourners attended a funeral service for Stark in Brooklyn Saturday evening. Stark's family has offered a reward for information leading to the conviction of those responsible for taking his life, according to the UK Daily Mail.
