Stony Brook (WALK) - Police in Suffolk are still searching for a bank robber after a hold-up in broad daylight.
They say a man went into the Capital One branch on Main Street in Stony Brook just after 12:30 PM on Tuesday and demanded cash from a teller. He got away after the teller emptied the drawer. No weapon was displayed and no one was hurt.
The robber was described by witnesses as Caucasian, about 5'8" to 5'10" in height, between 35 and 45 years old, with a medium build and balding hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call anonymously to Suffolk Crime Stoppers at (800) 220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential, according to investigators.
