Central Islip (WALK) - A Rocky Point teenager is dead after a car crash that also injured two other people in the car, including the driver.
Andrew O'Connor, 18, was sitting in the back seat on the driver's side of an Acura sedan that ran off Lowell Avenue in Central Islip just after midnight on Thursday morning. He was rushed to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, where he later died of critical injuries.
Two other people were also taken to the hospital, including the driver. Ulices Canessa Villatoro, 19, of Islip Terrace has a fractured arm and a possible fractured hip, police say.

A third passenger was in the front passenger seat. Joel Fernandez, 18, wasn't hurt in the accident.
