Kearney, NJ - (WALK) A Long Island pharmacist is behind bars today after an erratic episode in New Jersey Friday.
Simon Dolmaian, 42, of Garden City is accused of stealing a 2013 Corvette convertible from a dealership in Atlantic City Friday morning. Dolmaian (pictured above) was arrested several hours later, at 7:30 p.m., at the New Jersey entrance of the Holland Tunnel.
Arresting officers say Dolmaian, 42, was drunk behind the wheel of the $71,000 sports car and was carrying more than $40,000 in cash as well as a bottle of unlabeled prescription drugs.
Dolmaian is reportedly supervising pharmacist at Cricor Holdings and president of Amazon Pharmacy, both located in Sunnyside, Queens.
According to local newspaper accounts, Dolmaian visited the car dealership and expressed interest in the Corvette (similar to photo). When an employee showed him the car, which had the keys inside, he allegedly drove off.
Dolmaian is facing charges including theft, DWI, reckless driving, and receiving stolen property. He is being held at Hudson County Jail in Kearney, New Jersey.
LINews readers may recall Dolmaian was arrested in July and accused of driving a red 2013 Porsche convertible while intoxicated and causing a three-vehicle crash on North Sea Road in Southampton.
