LI Measures the Snowfall

Patchogue (WALK) - As Long Island braces for another snow storm, due to arrive early Wednesday, the National Weather Service has released statistics from the storm that hit the region on Monday.

The highest total was just about 10 inches recorded in Centerport, with Stony Brook and Mattituck close behind. The highest total in Nassau County was almost 9 inches measured in North Merrick and Albertson.

Other amounts included about 8 inches in Sound Beach and Levittown; 7 inches in Holbrook (pictured at left), Deer Park and Oceanside; and only around 5 inches in Patchogue and Oakdale.
