Freeport - (WALK) A Massapequa High School teacher is accused of heroin possession after police say a packet of the drug was found in her car during a traffic stop this week in Freeport.
Kerri Creegan, 33, of Maple Avenue, Rockville Centre, was driving on Babylon Turnpike in Freeport when she was pulled over by police, allegedly for driving with a defective taillight Wednesday at about 3:00 p.m. Police say Creegan had a "glassine bag containing heroin."
Creegan is a 9th grade social studies teacher employed by the Massapequa School District. She was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, and ordered to return to court on June 23.
School district officials acknowledged Creegan's arrest, but declined to comment.
