Hauppauge - (WALK) A 28-year-old Suffolk man is accused of posing as a high school student on a social media site to meet and molest minors, including girls younger than 13, according to prosecutors.
Ryan Cargil, of East Patchogue created a bogus facebook profile then sent friend requests to young girls between June 2011 and February 2012, said Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota Friday.
Cargil is charged with 22 counts, including first-degree rape and sex-assault against a child, and if convicted faces more than 20 years in prison. Cargil is schedule to return to court later this month.
