Shooting Spree in Nassau County

East Garden City - (WALK) The search continues for the gunman responsible for a fatal shooting at a business near Roosevelt Field Mall Wednesday Morning.

Two people were shot, one of the victims is dead and the other is hospitalized in critical condition. Police say gunman, identified as Sangho Kim, entered the building at 645 South Street, near Roosevelt Field Mall, and fired shots shortly after 10:00 a.m.

Kim is reportedly a vendor associated with the company, "Save Energy," an importer of lighting fixtures.  The shootings were motivated by a business deal, said police.

The mall was locked-down shortly after the shooting, as were nearby schools in the Garden City district and Nassau Community College. As of 1:30 p.m. people are being permitted to leave the mall, but the schools remained locked-down, according to police.

Kim is decribed as an Asian-American man, 63, about 6' to 6'- 2" tall, who was wearing a red shirt and a gray or brown suit jacket.  He was driving a white, late model SUV, possibly a Honda Pilot, with New York license plate, FMA 3648.

Several law enforcement agencies are participating in the search for Kim, including the Suffolk County police, New York State Police and the F.B.I., according to Nassau police.
