Arrest in Murder of Aspiring LI Recording Artist

Riverhead - (WALK) An Amityville man will be charged with second degree murder in the shooting death last month of an aspiring recording artist in Wyandanch.

Torey Warren, 34, of Jeatom Lane, was captured in Pocano Pines, Pennsylvania.  He waived extradition and was brought home to Suffolk County Thursday.

Warren (photo) allegedly shot and killed Desi Kingsberry, 30, of State Avenue, Wyandanch.  Kingsberry's body was found in front of his home on Sunday, September 29.  Kingsberry had been shot in the head, according to Suffolk police.

Kingsberry was employed by the Tonw of Babylon as a sanitation worker at the time of his death.  He was the third-youngest of 12 siblings, and was an aspiring recording artist who sold his music locally, according to family members.
